Guidelines for Video Service

  • If scheduling via the internet, you must give 24 hours notice. Network Operations will confirm conference within 24 hours.
  • Any conference, with less than 24 hours notice must call OIT @ 800-686-5841 or 614-466-5841.
  • Customers need to have their video conferencing equipment turned on 20 minutes prior to the start of the conference. Call OIT if conference does not come up during the pretest.
  • Customers, if using ISDN, will need to provide the ISDN number for the off network site. We need this number even if that site is calling into us.
  • Customers need to provide the speed (384k, 768k,etc) at which they would like the conference to run at.
  • Network Operations will not add a site to a videoconference without approval from the conference requester (scheduler). If you would like to be added to a conference, call the conference requester and they will contact us.
  • MCU Bridge ports are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Customer must fill out a site profile and an account request form to have access to the online scheduling package, TCReliance.
  • Operating hours for OIT video is 7AM to 8PM. Any conferences scheduled before or after those times will not be monitored.
  • Customers must check the availability of rooms with the site contact before scheduling a conference.
  • Continuous presence is scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Resources are limited. (Click here to see the continuous presence layouts.)
