State advisory work group highly satisfied with the process

Participants surveyed said they were highly satisfied with the process of the Enterprise Desktop
Hardware Standardization Initiative Advisory Work Group. The advisory work group, comprised of
the staff from 24 agencies, boards and commissions, met from April through October to develop
state desktop and laptop hardware standards and a standards revision process.
Participants were asked for feedback about their experience in the areas of efficiency, quality and
openness of the work group process.
On a scale of one (least satisfied) to four (most satisfied), participants rated their experience at an
overall score of 3.41 with no areas receiving a single response below 3.0. Receiving one of the
highest ratings of 3.8 was the question about the responsiveness demonstrated by staff in
researching and facilitating resolution of issues and ideas.

One participant said, “I thought this workshop was worthwhile, focused, well-organized and very

professional. I appreciated the opportunity to provide a voice.”

More information about the survey result can be found at the Enterprise Desktop Hardware Web

Standardization Initiative Web site or by navigating through the Enterprise Projects section of the
site of the Ohio Office of Information Technology and clicking on the “Desktop Hardware
Standards.”
