
William Yang, state IT security policy officer, recently was named a Certified
Information Systems Security Professional. He received the designation
from the International
Information Systems Security Certification Consortium after demonstrating
broad knowledge and understanding of the disciplines of information security.
In his position with the Office of Statewide IT Policy , Yang's current efforts include providing IT security expertise and developing training programs on state IT policy and enterprise architecture, researching and developing state IT security strategies for public key infrastructure technologies (PKI), reviewing state agency acquisitions involving PKI, supporting the DAS role on the State of Ohio Security Taskforce, and developing a community of interest for state IT security to help state personnel stay abreast of the latest IT security issues.
