Revised State Telecom Policies Released for Comment

Revisions to two policies related to state telecommunications services have been drafted by the Ohio Office of Information Technology.

The office distributed the draft revisions to state agency chief information officers for comment July 1. The Statewide IT Policy staff developed the revisions to State of Ohio IT Policy ITP-H.2, "Personal Use of State Telephones," and State of Ohio Policy ITP H-6, "Telecommunications Utility Services," in collaboration with representatives of the Ohio Office of Information Technology Service Delivery Division Network Services Group.

The deadline for chief information officers to comment is July 9. Once all of the comments are received, Statewide IT Policy will make any necessary adjustments to the policies and oversee the final steps of the policy approval process.
