Issue Date: January 7, 2005

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is now providing an online summary report of
information technology-related Ohio legislation.
Updated regularly throughout each session, the online legislative report lists bills under
consideration in the Ohio General Assembly that may have an impact on the State of Ohio's
acquisition and use of information technology. For each bill, the report provides a brief synopsis
of the IT-related issue being addressed and then gives the status of the bill in the General
Assembly. The report also provides a link to the bill text and related information on the
General Assembly's Web site.
The Web address for the online update is: http://oit.ohio.gov/IGD/policy/ITLegislation.aspx
The online update is produced by the OIT Investment and Governance Division's (IGD) Statewide
IT Policy program area in support of Executive Order 2004-02T, which charges OIT to provide
leadership, oversight and direction of activities relating to information technologies and their use
statewide.
IGD's Statewide IT Policy program area examines today's compelling IT issues and develops
strategic state policies, standards and research concerning the management of the state's
considerable annual IT investments.
