
New Health Advisory Board FormsUnder Governor's DirectiveCOLUMBUS – The Ohio Health Information Partnership Advisory Board has been formed to help ensure all Ohioans have access to quality, safe and affordable health care and to help control health care costs. The board will meet March 17 for the first time. The mission of the board, created as a result of Governor Ted Strickland’s Executive Order 2007 – 30S, is to bring together public- and private-sector representatives to create policies and programs that address health information technology issues in Ohio. The meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. March 17 in Columbus at the Riffe Center, 77 S. High St., 31st floor, Conference Rooms B and C. The agenda includes discussion about the Ohio Health Information Security and Privacy Collaboration Implementation Plan and Ohio Health Information Technology Strategic Roadmap and the development of sub-committees within the board. The co-chairs of the board are R. Steve Edmonson, state chief information officer, and William Hayes of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio.
